Carrie Barber McGrann is a middle school art teacher by day and a surrealist by night. She initially draws from her photography to inspire areas of realism for focus in her oil paintings. She then shifts between realism and an exploration of balancing color, contrast, and texture. Her painting process allows the image to take over and create its own story.
